What paint is used on lime plaster walls in Canterbury period properties?

Breathable emulsions specifically suited to lime plaster surfaces. Standard vinyl emulsions are not compatible with lime plaster and cause early paint failure. A breathable primer is also used before the topcoat rather than standard PVA sealer.

How is lime plaster identified versus modern plaster?
